About Us

PRERNA is a non-profit humanitarian organization that empowers refugees with the opportunity to rebuild a sustainable life in the United States. We help refugees across all ethnicities and faiths become independent with continuum care. Our services include housing, healthcare, supplies, cultural assimilation, education and employment opportunities. We are located in Santa Clara County, California.

What you will be doing as a Healthcare Volunteer:

- seek and maintain healthcare services for the refugees we work with

- process medical forms, manage necessary healthcare checkups and procedures for families

- provide healthcare support for our families and help guide them through the US healthcare system to make sure our families understand the process behind medical insurance

-build new partnerships and maintain existing ones across organizations, hospitals and individual healthcare entities that are willing to be part of the support system for the refugee families

We are looking for interested volunteers from Fremont, Santa Clara, San Jose areas for the above role.

Refugees who resettle in our communities become independent, constructive citizens who can contribute now and beyond, through the success of their children and in future generations.
