We help refugees across all ethnicities and faiths become independent with continuum care. Our services include housing, healthcare, supplies, cultural assimilation, education and employment opportunities. We are located in Santa Clara County, California.

About the Position

We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager who can lead projects to promote PRERNA’s programs and events. You will be working with the volunteer marketing team and be involved with developing a new website and creating marketing content for use online and in printed materials. You will collaborate with PRERNA’s leadership team to develop testimonials about the refugee families we support and assist in writing a quarterly e-newsletter. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your marketing skills in a fast-paced, start-up that is making a difference for refugees in the Bay Area. Volunteers must meet critical deadlines and be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative, adaptable and must possess a strong sense of responsibility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of marketing experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field

• Excellent writing and editing skills

• Project management and multi-tasking skills

• Strong knowledge and active use of social media

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups

• Effective communicator and troubleshooter

• Ability to make decisions and follow through with minimal supervision

• 15-20 hours a week
