Candidates for this internships must be energetic, a team player, results-oriented and dedicated to the achievement of personal and team goals. The internships require candidates that have confidence in interpersonal communication, comfort with phone cultivation and a passion for making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Development intern’s responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- · Corporate & community research
- Create, develop and implement marketing materials and mailings
- · Work with staff & volunteers to help cultivate new donors
- · Create and update a solicitation data base
- · Assist as necessary with the implementation of new fundraising strategies
Duration: 4 - 6 months or flexible
Hours: Minimum of 15 - 20 hrs per week
Days: Monday & Wednesday or flexible
Requirements:
* Currently enrolled as an undergraduate (or recently graduated)
* Candidate must exude professionalism
* Commitment to a flexible work schedule of a minimum of 15 hours per week
* Excellent writing, research and interpersonal communication skills
* Experience with MicroSoft Office applications, web and social media
* Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced
