Please help temporarily relocate the Tahirih Justice Center's Houston Galleria office on the week of May 5th and May 12th. We will be relocating from our fourth floor suite to a first floor suite so that we can expand our fourth floor office to provide more lifesaving holistic services to our clients.

IMMIGRATION LAW
We represent immigrant women and girls who we believe have a legitimate claim to legal status under U.S. immigration law as survivors of gender-based violence.
FAMILY LAW
We ensure our clients' legal needs are met in family courts, safeguarding children against abuse and helping women divorce their abusers.
CIVIL LAWWe engage in appellate advocacy and impact litigation, and support clients in recovering damages from harms they have suffered, such as trafficking.
FORCED MARRIAGE PROTECTIONWe provide confidential support and assistance to individuals in the United States who are facing forced marriages in this country or abroad.
SOCIAL SERVICESWe connect our clients to shelter, employment-related training, food pantries, and other services so they can gain greater control over their lives.
MEDICAL SERVICESWe help our clients obtain medical and mental health services, a vital step in the road to recovery from physical and psychological trauma.

The Tahirih Justice Center works to protect immigrant women and girls seeking justice in the United States from gender-based violence. Leveraging both in-house and pro bono attorneys, we empower our clients to achieve justice and equality through holistic direct legal services and national public policy advocacy.
Description
Tahirih Justice Center is a national, non-profit organization that protects courageous immigrant women and girls who refuse to be victims of violence by elevating their voices in communities, courts, and Congress.
Since 1997, Tahirih has assisted nearly 25,000 women and children seeking protection from gender-based human rights abuses such as rape, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, human trafficking, "honor" crimes, and forced marriage. Our award-winning, holistic model for protection combines free legal services and social services case management with bridge-building public policy advocacy, education, and outreach.
With offices in Houston, Baltimore, and Greater DC, Tahirih’s programs efficiently and effectively leverage donated professional services from a vast network of attorneys, medical professionals, and community volunteers.
Inspired by principles of the Baha'i Faith, Tahirih is committed to promoting the equality of women and men, and works to create a world where women and girls can live in safety and with dignity.
