Since 1887, the Channel Islands YMCA has been responding to the needs in the communities we serve. Our programs and services are continually expanded to meet each community’s needs. One thing remains the same - we are driven by our cause to strengthen community.
The amount of work we do cannot be done alone. The Y is guided and strengthened by volunteers who help to ensure all people have the opportunity to reach their potential.
As a Y volunteer, you enable and empower us to have an impact on many people and with our collective efforts, lives are changed forever.
Here are a few volunteer opportunities at the Y:
- Serve on our Board of Directors, Boards of Managers and committees
- Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community
- Coach our sports teams and teach many of our classes
- Motivate and support youth
- Extend a hand to help other adults
- Advocate for the Y’s efforts to influence policies and initiatives
- Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors
The Y is a nonprofit like no other. Take an active role in strengthening your community.
