Mission Statement

Allies In Caring is a multicultural non-for profit organization dedicated to helping underserved individuals, who have emotional and behavioral problems, move toward recovery, health and greater independence through counseling, education and community support.

Description

Background

Allies In Caring (AIC), was initially founded, as a for-profit agency by Ivette Guillermo-McGahee in 2012. She was driven by a strong desire to be more effective in helping children, youth and their families develop resiliency and become strong, creative and thriving despite adversity.

Continuing to feel that her organization was not doing enough to broaden and extend the services it offered, Allies In Caring shifted its status to a non-profit organization in November 2013. We were very happy that our tax exempt status was approved by the Internal Revenue Service in September, 2014.

Vision

The individuals and families that we serve thrive despite adversity, they develop into more skillful, mindful, and compassionate human beings through the process of learning how to cope with their challenges, and how to master their environment. Our clients develop coping skills and access their internal and external resources they need to live healthier and meaningful lives, as contributing members of society.
