Yellowstone Academy is the premier school in Houston’s inner-city. By providing an academically rigorous, Christian education, Yellowstone Academy is answering the challenge of the education crisis that faces many economically disadvantaged students.

Description

Yellowstone Academy was founded in 2001 as a private, Christian school. The mission is to provide a high quality faith-based education, exclusively to economically disadvantaged students that will prepare them for sucess in high school, college, and beyond. The school is located in the 3rd ward and served 350 students from PK3 - 8th grade. Every student receives a scholarship upwards of $12,500, there is an extended school day and calendar year, daily bible class and weekly chapel, rigorous and relevant curriculum, graduate support program, on campus counseling and social services program, and comprehensive extracurricular program including art, music, physical education and leadership programming.
