The American Red Cross National Headquarters is seeking a regular volunteer or intern to assist with providing training and administrative support to the International Restoring Family Links Program. The National Headquarters office provides high level case management, training and other support services for reconnecting families, and coordinates with the American Red Cross chapter network and the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Network to reconnect families.

You will have the opportunity to assist with creating and updating RFL training materials, coordinating national training events, and becoming a member of the RFL Outreach team.

Description

The American Red Cross helps reconnect loved ones separated internationally when:

  • Families have been separated internationally as a result of conflict, disaster, migration or other humanitarian emergency.
  • Families have tried normal channels of communication to reconnect.
  • The family member making the inquiry is able to provide essential information on the sought person.
  • The family member making the inquiry is a relative, who had been in direct contact with the sought person before the crisis occurred.
The Reconnecting Family Links program is a free and confidential service. We work with you to search for and locate your family and loved ones.
