The Sun Valley Youth Center has a small garden for our kids and families that we serve. We need help (during the summer season especially) tending to the garden, which hosts a variety of vegetables and more! There are opportunities to lead garden programming, as well, if you are interested and experienced.

Description
The Sun Valley Youth Center is a licensed child care operation that operates during the school year as well as no-school days, school holidays, and summer break located in the inner-city of west Denver. Sun Valley Youth Center is a Christian faith based 501c3 nonprofit that has been operating since 1999. We are an inclusive organization with a commitment to human rights, dignity of the individual, and social justice. We welcome anyone, regardless of faith or belief system, who shares our goals for the community. We are open Mon-Fri from 2-7 pm, and 8-6 when the kids are out of school. We offer a variety of programs to the children of the Sun Valley neighborhood to aid in their social, emotional, and physical development. We aim to holistically meet the needs of our kids while providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow. We provide 1:1 tutoring/mentoring, group tutoring, arts and crafts, sports and recreation, 1:1 and group counseling, computer classes, snacks, and more.
