The Spruce Up is a community event that brings together residents and volunteers to cleanup, paint, repair, landscape and beautify specific blocks in their neighborhood at no cost to the residents. Supplies are provided by sponsor donations of materials and funds.
This year, TRIP and SONYMA will work with the Hillside North Neighborhood on Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th, 2017. We’ll come together to work on the outside of 30 homes, cleanup 6 vacant lots, create an outdoor classroom for School #2 and more!
We need your help!We need plenty of volunteers will all levels of home improvement skills to make this possible. This is a great team building event for your company, organization or civic group. Typical jobs include removing brush and trash, painting exteriors, raking, planting flowers or plants and other exterior cleanup tasks.
We also need funds and supplies to make all of this work possible. Donations of building supplies, paint, landscaping materials, tools, food and beverages are all welcomed.
