The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is looking for volunteers to teach children how to fish at our Free Fishing Friday event. Volunteers need basic fishing skills to assist novice anglers such as: casting, knot typing, tackle assembly, handling fish.

Description
The Volunteer Program of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources matches volunteers with service needs all over the state of Iowa. The DNR operates Iowa's state parks, fish hatcheries, wildlife units, environmental field offices, and state forests. The volunteer program is administered by DNR staff in the Wallace State Office Building, but volunteer opportunities are state-wide!
