About HOPE FOR THE DAY
Location:
3179 N CLARK ST, CHICAGO, IL 60657, US
Mission Statement
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Chicago, Hope for the Day (HFTD) is dedicated to preventing suicide by developing innovative and sustainable education programming.
Description
Our programming is intended to shatter the silence of stigma and embrace self-expression as the pathway to early intervention and personal resilience. We provide programs which institutions can utilize to facilitate an ongoing awareness of, and dialogue on, suicide prevention. We concentrate on understanding mental health and giving direction for support and resources. This involves producing custom materials to implement turn-key awareness and education programming in order to maintain and expand the conversation around mental health. By focusing on creating a sustainable, highly portable system in different spaces (schools, libraries, places of worship, businesses, etc.) that promotes appropriate tools for addressing mental health, we will join the fight in eliminating core risks for self-harming actions.
