Greetings!

Apollo Health Group is looking for Volunteer Interns to provide music and art therapy to our clients. This volunteer position would help create a curated program in Music & Art to regularly implement the program to our clients. They will participate in creating a careplan for client who are requesting this service and to meet their psychosocial needs.

Qualification:

-College graduate or student in related field i.e. music, art, psychology, social work, counseling, healthcare field

-Must have reliable transportation

-At least 21 years of age

-Must understand diversity and cultural sensitivity and overall global awareness

Our Volunteers will receive incentives such as:

-Letter of recommendation

-Resume development

-Certifications and award based on Performance and additional training

-Mileage reimbursement

-Meal cards

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.

Description

Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
