RivAlz: Blondes vs. Brunettes is a volunteer-driven football league that brings the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association. We are looking for women to participate in this wonderful cause by playing in the women's flag football game! Whether you've been playing all your life or this will be the first time you pick up a football, we want you! We start practice in April and continue through mid-August when the big game is. We practice once a week and hold fundraisers at least once a month. Last year we raised over $65,000 for the Alzheimer's Association and in our 5th year we will be raising $75,000!
Please join us at our weekly practices on Mondays May 15th - August at Little Marina Green (800 Marina Blvd, San Francisco).
Please register before practice at http://act.alz.org/rivalzsf.

Mission Statement
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision, A world without Alzheimer's disease.
Description
We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.
At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. By partnering with organizations locally and nationally to advance diversity and inclusion, the Association can broaden its reach in all communities.
