Plant Sale Extravaganza Volunteers!

Help with this year's Plant Sale Extravaganza, May 12-14, at Reiman Gardens! Volunteers are needed to help greet members and visitors to the sale, assist customers with purchases, direct customers to plant locations and horticulture staff for questions, etc.

No plant knowledge is required, but can be helpful! This is a great opportunity for families, small groups and individuals.

Available times include 2-3.5 hour commitments, May 12, May 13 and May 14. Volunteer as much or as little as you like!

The Plant Sale Extravaganza will be held in Reiman Gardens’ parking lot rain or shine.

Plant Sale Extravaganza supports the Department of Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Biology Graduate Student Organization, the Graduate Student Horticulture Society, the ISU Horticulture Club, Reiman Gardens, and the Story County Master Gardener Association. All plant purchases directly benefit each group’s programming.

Plants for sale include perennials for sun and shade, herbs and vegetables, Iowa natives, woody plants including trees, shrubs and Buck roses, container annuals and hanging baskets. New plant additions for 2017 include: the hosta of the year, heirloom tomatoes, and milkweed.
