Coordinate efforts to keep seniors cool this summer. This is a short-term project (June - Sept 2017) to help manage the applications for fans or ACs for Dominion Senior Cooling Care program. Record applications on a spreadsheet, work closely with JABA staff, and confirm equipment delivery to the client. This position requires volunteer to check email daily. Gain experience in project management while working to serve vulnerable community residents.

For almost 50 years, JABA has provided a variety of services to help seniors remain as healthy, active, and independent as possible. Programs include information and referral, education and advocacy, and direct services such as adult care centers, community centers, senior meal programs, care coordinators, health care and health promotion programs, health insurance counseling, volunteer and employment opportunities, and conflict resolution for people in nursing homes and other long-term health care settings. Jaba believes that aging is a lifelong process, which is most successfully done in intergenerational communities.
