PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Work with disaster service leadership to identify stories of interest and suitable for publication by monitoring social media sites, as well as handle local media inquiries about Red Cross Chapter activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have prior professional experience in Public Relations, Journalism or similar background.
TIME COMMITMENT
Average of 2-4 hours per week. The hours will increase and vary during disaster events, as they are unpredictable.

Orientation to the American Red Cross
Orientation to Communications Department
Access to disaster and soft skills training in person and online
