Every Sunday morning, The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center staff and volunteers serves a pancake breakfast to homeless individuals in the SOMA neighborhood. You will be a part of a group of Echelon SF young professionals serving breakfast to homeless individuals outside of The Salvation Army's drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Volunteers will meet in front of the Center at 8:45am on Sunday, May 21st. Join us for brunch at Rocco's cafe immediately following the breakfast service event! If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mailBree Reynolds, Service Chair at echelonsanfrancisco@gmail.com
Making a Difference: Every Sunday morning, volunteers help staff at the Harbor Light Center serve breakfast to approximately 50 local homeless individuals in the SOMA neighborhood. Beyond providing food, clothing and toiletries through the outreach programs at this Center, volunteers and staff are providing comfort, companionship, and, most importantly, connecting the homeless population to a multitude of community services. Homeless Outreach staff works to connect people with services such as the Harbor Light Center's detox and rehabilitation programs, food pantries, medical care facilities, shelters, and transitional housing.
