The San Diego History Center in the heart of Balboa Park is seeking volunteers to help with school programs. School program docents form an essential part of the History Center’s Education Department. They share the history of the region with K-12 group visitors. They facilitate interactive programs for school groups in order to spark students’ imaginations and stimulate their curiosity. By bringing history alive, History Center docents play a vital role in providing visitors with a memorable experience. This role is great for someone interested in informal teaching and working with youth. Training is provided.
