Volunteers Needed for 4th Annual School Garden Conference

We're a small (9 full time staff) nonprofit that in the last three years has created one of the largest school garden programs in the United States (in Las Vegas). We help schools fund, build and run school garden programs so that students can better learn about science (STEM), nutrition, and conservation. Four years ago, we created the first school garden conference in Nevada, so that teachers from different schools with gardens could learn what other schools were doing and could also learn from specialists. The conference has grown each year and this year we are expecting more than 300 attendees--teachers,

We are looking for volunteers to help us set up the conference on Friday, April 28th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and also to help us on the day of the conference, April 29th, fro 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to help guide conference attendees to rooms, prepare rooms for speakers, running registration, organizing the reception, and general set-up and take-down. Volunteers must be 21+ after 2pm on the day of the conference as the conference ends with a Happy Hour!

Volunteers can work in shifts! If you can't stay for the entire time, that's fine. We can really use the help with whatever time you happen to have! Please register at the link below and email sarahr@greenourplanet.org with the day(s) and times you can be there.
