We are looking for volunteers to assist with handing out bags and postcards encouraging folks to fill the bag and put it out on Saturday, May 13th for the Letter Carriers Food Drive to support Gleaners and other local food banks in Michigan and the United States. Volunteers will be helping at the Royal Oak Farmer Market. Volunteers need to be 14 and up! Students 14-17 must volunteer with a parent.

For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
