Do you have just a couple of hours every now and then ( on your schedule) to share yourself while making a huge difference to someone else?
Are you a caring, compassionate, individual who is interested in being a difference maker to patients and families who face life limiting illnesses? Please consider becoming part of our volunteer team. We need you and we welcome you!
This specific volunteer position is to help our office team with administrative opportunities, for example: answering the phone, calling families to make sure they have everything they need for the weekend, preparing birthday or special occasion "happies" for our patients and their families, helping prepare materials for an educational initiative or a community event, copying, or assembling marketing tools and the list goes on and on.
Just a couple of hours anytime makes a huge impact in our mission.You will be part of a team that is directly affecting the quality of life for our patients and families.
Deaconess Hospice is the best place for you! We are looking for volunteers that are motivated to use their unique skills to help enhance the quality of life for our patients, while providing an excellent learning opportunity for yourself. Whether helping in the office, providing administrative support, or directly communicating with patients, we have a place for you!

When you or someone you love is living with a terminal illness, quality of life matters more than ever. At Deaconess Hospice of Laurel, our dedicated hospice professionals help our patients across Southern Mississippi live as fully and comfortably as possible in the final stages of life.
Hospice care is centered on the effective management of pain and other symptoms of end-stage illness. We deliver physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to our patients and their family members.
Volunteers are in intergal part of our organization. Caring for the terminally ill is a labor of love that requires a special person with just the right touch. If you have a passion for helping others, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. You can make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
