Help NorthPointe Resources Connect with Local Corporations

ORGANIZATION: NorthPointe Resources, Inc

  • 3 people are interested

Businesses want to "give back" to their local communities and are seeking ways to do so - usually through a partnership with a local non-profit organization. We want them to know and understand NorthPointe Resources because we could be exactly what they’re looking for.

NorthPointe Resources has an opportunity for the right volunteer to connect with local corporations to educate them about NorthPointe Resources, the programs we offer in the local community and how we could be a resource to them. You will begin to develop long-lasting, multi-tiered relationships between NorthPointe and the local corporations.

We have already begun compiling a list of local businesses with whom we would like to develop a relationship. The volunteer can continue the research to determine each company’s corporate social responsibility policy/philosophy. You will research the company’s non-profit history - which causes and non-profits have they supported in the past? Are they already tied to one non-profit? Look into the philanthropic habits of their founder/CEO. See if you can find what causes they support outside of the company.

You will begin by making contact with a person at each company and explain to them who NorthPointe Resources is, what we do for the community and what we have to offer them - including opportunities for group and individual volunteerism for their employees, trained/skilled employees from our customized employment department, opportunity to become a preferred vendor of NorthPointe and more.

If they are interested, ask him/her for an introduction to the decision makers at the company and set up a face to face meeting.

Introduce NorthPointe Resources and our mission. Explain the many ways that NorthPointe could interact with their business. (We will assist with this and create a slide presentation).

Detail what you’re asking of them, including considering employing someone from our customized employment program, adding us to their employee giving campaign, offing a volunteer opportunity at NorthPointe to their staff, etc. Finally, explain what NorthPointe brings to the table.

Skills Required

Ideally we are looking for someone who is experienced and comfortable speaking with top level executives and has the ability to showcase NorthPointe while highlighting the fit/synergy between the company and NorthPointe Resources. Are you a retied corporate executive? Have experience with Marketing? Former executive at a non-profit? We are looking for YOU!
