Grace Hospice seeks volunteers in North Austin, Round Rock, Leander, and Cedar Park to visit hospice patients.
Duties may include reading, assisting with letter writing, watching TV, visiting, sitting at bedside while family members run errands etc.
If you have a heart to share your time with a person during their final journey please contact me and we will schedule a time to discuss opportunities.

Description
Hospice Volunteers provide companionship to our patients and their families. They may visit with patients, read, sing or watch movies with patients. Hospice volunteers find it personally gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Many of our volunteers are introduced to hospice thorough the death of a family member and understand firsthand the value of hospice care, but nearly 20% of volunteers are new to hospice. Volunteers consistently report that helping the terminally ill through hospice is not about dying but about living.
