Help us create summer jobs in Detroit: Fundraise for Mint!
ORGANIZATION: MINT ARTISTS GUILD
Please visit the new page to apply.
Mint wants to continue its summer creative jobs program - and hire five young people this summer in Detroit. Yet to do so, we need to raise at least $6,000 by mid-May. And our president is so busy working with the teens and planning for a couple of major events (and working her day job) that she really needs help with fundraising, ASAP.
We need passionate people to join our fundraising team - and find people who will donate to Mint. (It's a tax deductible donation and you get the benefit of creating jobs - and then those young people will paint pieces that are donated to local nonprofits in or near Detroit - a double win!) We already have a fundraising page at: https://www.crowdrise.com/generous-mint-artists-
Now we just need some people to help! You could start your career as a fundraiser or change careers by working with us. Or you may secretly dream of a career as an artist - and want to help these young artsts launch their careers. We're open and eager to work with you on this!
Thanks in advance.

Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
