The Johnston Public Library offers an English conversation program for low to high intermediate English language learners. The program is called Let's Talk.
Let's Talk is a casual program designed for the non-native English speaker to practice their English pronunciation, accent and conversation skills with a native English speaker.
The program is offered in-person and online using Zoom. Our current need is for an individual to meet with students online.
Volunteers work in small groups with 1-4 English language learners. Conversation starters on practical topics are provided and lead to a lively exchange of cultural experiences and ideas.
No previous experience is necessary. Interested individuals should enjoy listening and lively conversation.
