Pet Central Helps Volunteer Coordinator Intern will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of responsibilities including leading the volunteers through the recruiting and training process and assist with the coordination and weekly placement of volunteers using volunteer software. Create outreach and presentation materials for recruitment. Recruit volunteers through contacting organizations and student groups, attending meetings and events, distributing materials and providing presentations. Coordinate volunteer processing and complete checklists. Document recruiting efforts and update volunteer status availability. Coordinate the weekly assignments and placement of volunteers. Perform follow-up calls with volunteers and project participants. This is an unpaid, part-time volunteer position. Hours are flexible and we’ll work around the Intern’s schedule.
