The horses need feeding twice a day and volenteers are needed twice a day to care for the horses. This is a great way to learn the correct care that horses need. We will train all volunteers. Young folks that are not driving yet, need to be with a parent.

It is the mission of the Horse Protection Society to make the world a better place for horses through education, rescue, and rehabilitation. HPS provides a sanctuary of last resort for starved and abused equine. New volunteers are always welcome. HPS has a monthly schedule of when volunteers have commited to come and help
Description
The Horse Protection Society maintains the first equine sanctuary in North Carolina to provides care for neglected equine. Normally there are at least 30 to 40 horses under our protection. Recovered horses can be placed in quality homes.
