Spread the word or just join the fun!

We need to spread the word and get people to come to our event! It's a fundraiser to help local youth who are overcoming hardships and trying to make positive choices. We want volunteers who simply get people to come to the event. The event is all you can eat and drink for $25 or if two people come together, it's $40 ($20 x 2). The more that come, the more the fun! That's why it's called a FUNraiser! Or, if you just want to come yourself, you are welcome to buy a ticket and join us.

Description

The Youth Development Fund has been in existence in King County since 1975, providing grants and scholarships to disenfranchised youth struggling to overcome homelessness, poverty, addiction, and abuse and to make a better life for themselves. The transition from street culture back into a more traditional lifestyle is often met with many impediments, even in meeting one’s everyday needs. How can I get my ID? How will I pay for an application fee? How can I afford a bus pass? Youth serving agencies generally are unable to provide this level of financial support to youth. The Youth Development Fund provides funding opportunities to meet these very real needs when no other funds are available.

The Youth Development Fund provides funds directly to youth through their case managers/PO’s and the programs that service youth with no overhead and few granting requirements. Some of the organizations that the Youth Development Fund supports through quarterly grants are: Powerful Voices, Youth Speak, Totem Star, Woodinville Group Home, 4C’s, JRA, Kent Youth and Family Services, Interagency School, Orion Center, UDYC, Youth Care, King County Youth Detention Ministries, Central Youth and Family Services, Lambert House and many more.
