Cause Areas

It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.

We are recruiting for committed ladies and gentlemen (ages 18-over) to pledge Nu Sigma Theta and help us develop thriving chapters across the country. For more information on the organization, visit Nu Sigma Theta was formed to perform random acts of kindness and formal acts of community service on local and global scales. You will learn more about the types of activities we have done on our website. We are also formed for social and professional networking. We are currently looking to augment our Michigan (Detroit), Illinois (Chicago), North Carolina (Fayetteville/Charlotte), Pennsylvania (E. Stroudsburg), Virginia (Ashland), Connecticut (Amston) chapters. Creative adults living in other territories are also welcome to pledge. Most of the chapter's work will be done virtually until the groups decide that they are comfortable enough to meet. Once the groups meet, they will continue to plan social and service events to mirror those done in the New York and New Jersey chapters. Annually, the organization convenes in New Jersey for its conference which includes a recognition ceremony, vendor promotion, entrepreneur's luncheon and dinner dance. On Memorial Day weekend 2018, the plan is to convene in North Carolina for an annual family social event. A working email address is a requirement as is a Facebook account (you may create a separate one just for this activity if you'd like). The Facebook account is critical as it allows you to participate in discussions and activities with members from all over the world. Our pledge process is very simple and there is no form of hazing observed. Interested candidates can complete the inquiry form on the website for more information or respond here with your name, age and neighborhood of residence. We will then forward the membership application. Adults who join under this opportunity will not be subject to dues because of the service nature. This group will be very involved in helping us establish the chapter and plan activities based on the priorities of their neighborhoods.
