Keep A Breast and Brewbies(r) are looking for a Project Management Intern for the upcoming Festival in 2018. As an intern, you will play an integral role in assisting the Community Outreach Team, as well as the core, Keep A Breast Team in Los Angeles, California. This internship position will provide someone with substantial nonprofit and outreach experience, event planning, organizational & fundraising skills, as well as, measuring program outcomes.

JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of Project Management Intern is to assist the Director of Community Outreach executing the organization of Brewbies Festival.

The Brewbies(r) Festival was founded in 2010. Showcasing the positive impact that the craft brewing community makes while raising funds to help the Keep A Breast foundation fulfill their mission of empowering young people around the world with breast health education and support. To date, the Brewbies(r) Festival has raised over $350,000 for Keep A Breast's Education and Support Programs.

The Project Management Intern works closely with the entire team on Brewbies Planning, Organization, and Executing of our largest fundraising events, as well as the Marketing team to document and promote the events.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist team on outreach and partnering efforts
* Directly communicate and coordinate with Partners
* Coordinate event production and logistics
* Coordinate events and fundraising efforts
* Coordinate social media efforts for the campaign
* Successful planning and production of KAB outreach
* Development of ideas and strategies for future KAB events
* Help identify new opportunities for fundraising through Brewbies events

QUALIFICATIONS:
21+ years of age or older. Must be organized and reliable. Have a passion for living a healthy, mindful lifestyle. Have access to your own computer equipment. Experience in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Social Media, Wordpress and Squarespace. Be able to receive college credit. 4-month minimum, 10-20 hours per week (this is flexible), sometime between the hours of 10am - 4pm.


This is a volunteer unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain course credit and/or to add this experience to your professional profile.

Since 1999, the Keep A Breast Foundation has played a prominent role in building breast cancer awareness and education with teenagers and twentysomethings through art, education and prevention. Keep A Breast has evolved from an art project visually demonstrating the physical and emotional challenges of breast cancer to a global organization with a mission of empowering young people around the world with breast health education and support.

The Keep A Breast fulfills its mission through three primary program areas:

  • Traveling Education Booth (TEB), a touring, interactive education platform, also promoting KAB’s free mobile-learning application: 'Check Yourself!’;

  • Treasured Chest Program (TCP) , provides any woman diagnosed with breast cancer an opportunity to document her body and feelings by turning her casted torso into a beautiful work of art;

  • Non Toxic Revolution (NTR), informs, educates, and inspires young people about the dangers of toxic chemicals in their environment and food supply-especially those linked to the initiation of breast cancer.
