Do you like gardening? South Community has an opportunity for you. We are a mental health agency that cares about the wellness of our clients. To help support a healthy life style, and to help our clients have healthy food to eat, we have started a gardening project. We have two locations with small vegetable gardens and are hoping to expand these in order to grow more fresh produce for our clients. These gardens are part of our Food Pantry that helps to ensure our clients do not have to go hungry. It would involve an hour or two, a couple of days a week to help with planting, watering, weeding and harvesting. If you are interested in volunteering for either of these worthwhile projects, please contact me to set up an interview!
