Volunteers are needed to be CASA volunteers, advocates for abused and neglected children in Carroll County. CASA volunteers work to ensure every child has a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer is a trained citizen who is appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of a child victim of abuse or neglect in court. CASA volunteers are responsible for researching the background of a case and meeting with all involved parties in order to report to the judge what is best for the child.

While in foster care and the court system children have many strangers come into their lives. Volunteers are trained to be a constant support to a child and their voice in court during these difficult times. A CASA volunteer position is a unique opportunity to change lives and help others.
