Are you fascinated by technology? How about working with 3D printers, music mixing programs and other high tech equipment? Do you like to share your skill and knowledge with others as they explore and experiment? If the answer is YES, we invite you to volunteer in our brand new Markerspace that is located at the Central Library and open to the public. Makerspace creates an opportunity for the public to see a 3D printer in action, get started with 3D modeling and see their digital projects come to life!
To be considered you should have a solid knowledge of computers, internet and online searching; ability to multi-task; ability to effectively work with the public providing instructions in writing and verbally. Ideally (but not required) you have experience working with a variety of software applications like Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 and music mixing or 3D printing equipment like Makerbot Replicator+.
