Public Libraries are increasingly establishing themselves as the place for tech and creation. Help support that movement by volunteering in the Central Library’s Makerspace.

Our Makerspace has four main focuses - 3D Printing, Music Production, Graphic Design, and Virtual Reality.

Get hands-on experience with Makerbot Replicator+, 3D printers, a plethora of music equipment, and Oculus Rift VR.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting patrons as they enter
  • Helping patrons download and print 3D objects
  • Setting up music production software and connecting instruments
  • Encouraging exploration of resources

No previous experience required, just a drive to learn and aptitude for technology. There will always be a staff person in the space to work with you.

Available shifts:

  • Saturdays 2:30-5:00
  • Sundays 12:00-2:30 and 2:30-5:00
