Mountain Terrace Community offers a free Summer Enrichment Program to resident youth! To make this possible, we need volunteers to work with our students on reading, math, and STEM activities. Do you love to work with kids? This opportunity is for you!
Our program runs Monday - Thursday from 10:00am - 2:00pm. We offer reading practice, literacy exercises, math practices, and science activities for our students in grades 1 - 6. The program aims to be fun for our students, while working to prevent summer learning loss. Volunteers are welcome to stay for the full program day, or volunteer for specific sections (reading only; math only; minimum volunteer time is 1 hour).
Volunteers will perform the following duties:
- Assist with program set up and clean up
- Work one-on-one or in small groups of students on reading work, math work, science activities, and other enrichment activties
- Assist in supervision during lunch time (full day volunteer)
