Special Olympics Florida -Volusia County has opportunities for athlete mentors.

Mentors are the key to a successful sports experience for the Special Olympics athlete. As a mentor, you help an athlete leader develop their skills and model good sportsmanship and character. You give Special Olympics athletes the most immediate awareness of their self-worth, ability, courage, and capacity to grow and improve both on the playing field and off.

Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We rely on more than 28,000 volunteers throughout the state each year who serve as coaches, help with events, assist on committees and so much more. Join us in helping athletes achieve their dreams, volunteer today!
