Receptionist / Greeter

We are seeking individuals to help out as a receptionist and greeter. There are no specific experience requirements for this, and it would be appropriate for any age, from high school to retired.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Welcoming people as they arrive
• Helping determine their needs -- do they need the gift shop? are they members who are going to work on a project? did they just stop in and have questions?
• Directing them towards the appropriate location
• Answering the phone
• Directing phone calls to the right person
• Answering basic questions on the phone, such as our hours and the cost of our refurbished computers

There is no specific time commitment on this-- we would appreciate a few hours a week. It would be a good opportunity if you have a long break between jobs or classes, and you could work on other things on your laptop at the desk while it is quiet.

We provide training and assistance to help you learn the ropes -- it's not too involved!

If you want other responsibilities when there aren't people to help we have a few things going on, but it's definitely not required.
