ADHS Driver's Assistant
STATEMENT OF WORK:
At FSL, we offer Adult Day Health Services for adults who will benefit from meaningful activities, socialization and assistance during the day. At our centers, we provide quality care and a supportive atmosphere for all of our participants. Volunteers within the ADHS Program will support the efforts of the entire team, with an ultimate goal of providing a welcoming, client centric environment for participants and guests of the center. The Driver’s Assistant will ride on the FSL bus during AM and or PM routes and assist with safe loading and unloading of ADHS participants as well as transport meals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Driver in the safe loading and unloading of participants
"Stand By" assistance walking participants in and out of the center
Assist Driver in maintaining a calm atmosphere on the bus
May need to assist the Driver in securing wheel chair participants
Assist Driver in loading and unloading meals
Support the needs of ADHS/Transpiration Teams
Strictly adheres to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient confidentiality
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to pass a Background check, Drug Screen and TB clearance
Ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Friendly and outgoing with good customer service skills
Ability to bend, twist, stand, sit and kneel
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. or push 250 lbs.
Ability to operate a Lift and tie down securements
Able to work well with other team members
