Editing Artist Videos

ORGANIZATION: Arts Unbound

  • 9 people are interested

We would like to have short videos on our website introducing our artists. We have footage for about a dozen artists that needs to be edited down to short (less than two minute) profile videos. We are looking for a volunteer to edit the footage to create coherent videos that will interest visitors to our websites. We may also want some of the footage that references our organization as a whole edited for a fundraising video.

The volunteer can do the editing on their own time at home, or use our computers at our studio in Orange NJ. We'd like the project completed by the end of June.

About Arts Unbound

Location:

544 FREEMAN ST, ORANGE, NJ 07050, US

Mission Statement

Arts Unbound is dedicated to the artistic achievement of people living with disabilities and to the continuing artistic enrichment of seniors. We provide visual arts education and professional development to help emerging artists compete on the retail market. By promoting the work of artists with disabilities and seniors, we center their art-making rather than any impairments and by doing so challenge the stigma associated with disability and aging. Our goals: To promote careers in the visual arts as an option for people with disabilities or special needs. To provide ongoing participatory arts programming to seniors to support their artistic expression and emotional wellbeing. To ensure artists with disabilities have equal access to resources and can express their own creative vision, rather than be isolated or suppressed.

Description

Arts Unbound (AU) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000. In the simplest terms, we are an art gallery and educational art studio for people with disabilities and seniors. Yet what we are doing, through the arts, is challenging the stigma and barriers that keep people with disabilities from participating in the workforce. We are preparing talented individuals to be self-employed, working artists contributing to our community, and our economy.
