The goal of the Kijana Scholars Program is to ensure refugee high school students are equipped with the skills, resources and encouragement necessary to thrive in their postsecondary careers and education in the U.S. Our program offers tutoring, mentoring, college advising, career guidance, leadership development and creative enrichment after-school, on Saturdays and in the summer.
In collaboration with Lee High School in HISD, Kijana Scholars provides a safe, positive and nurturing environment for refugee youth to achieve their fullest potential and work toward their future goals.
