It’s that time of year again, Maker Faire, the greatest show (and tell) on earth showcases MAKERS who make robots, life-sized mousetrap games, self-replicating 3D Printers, renegade projector-equipped Teslas, crafts, puppets, clothing and much more. If you are intersted in DIY, engineering, building, learning, creating, making, or any other form of radical self-expression, you'll want to check out this event.
Maker Faire is home to kookie creators and cutting-edge engineers alike.
We need your help to keep Maker Faire sustainable! Join the Green Travelers team to greet and teach the Bay Area how to recycle, compost, and reclaim resources at the recycling stations throughout the festival. All training is provided, and the perks are awesome! We are inviting groups and individuals that may be interested in promoting environmental sustainability, educating 100K people on proper recycling and composting, earning community service hours to join the fun at this year's Faire. No experience necessary to sign up, we'll train you to be expert zero-waste educators! *We do offer accreditation for Volunteer Service Hours*For a 4 hour shift you will receive:
A One-Day pass for Maker Faire
A Maker Traveler T-shirt
A Maker Traveler Credential
A Traveler Passport
Access to the exclusive Maker Lounge for discounted meals
a special gift!
Special sustainability projects are available for student groups! Contact makerfairegreentravelers@gmail.com to sign up as a group or for any questions about the Green Travelers Program
