Join us for the Lorain County Heart Walk on Saturday, May 13 from 8 am to 10:30 am at the Avon Commons! This free family friendly event brings together our entire community to visit our sponsors, promote healthy eating and activities, and participate in a 1 mile or 3 mile walk around the Avon Commons. Volunteers are needed to help with simple set up including monitoring Eat Street (refilling granola bars, fruit, and water on tables), helping sponsors set up their tables, handing out programs, and guiding participants to areas in the festival space.
This is a great opportunity for people of all ages to come out and support the American Heart Association. All funds raised at this event help fight cardiovascular diseases and stroke in Northeast Ohio, the #1 and #5 killers of Americans. Student groups, community groups, and everyone is encouraged to attend and help! Free parking and water, coffee, and snacks available at Eat Street for volunteers.
