Overview:
Substitute for citizenship teachers on an as-needed basis.
Details:
- Be available to substitute for citizenship classes when a regular teacher needs a substitute
- Run a 1.5 hour class
- Take attendance and new student registrations
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Willingness to teach adults from all over the world, with a wide range of learning abilities
- High degree of initiative and creativity
- Good people to people skills

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.
We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.
Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
