Join us. Alzheimer's disease is the largest underfunded public health threat facing our nation today and it's only growing. One in eight baby boomers will develop the disease. We must act now to change the course of this epidemic. Join our movement and help us by volunteering to participate in the San Antonio Walk on Saturday, October 16.

Mission Statement
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia -- by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Description
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s disease care, support and research. We provide services to those affected by Alzheimer’s, advocate for policy change and scientific funding, and advance research toward prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure. The San Antonio & South Texas Chapter was incorporated in 1989. From our humble beginnings as a volunteer-driven organization that primarily served San Antonio and its surrounding area, we have expanded into an organization with 11 staff members and over 200 volunteers who serve 47 counties.
