Event Overview: After School Matters is looking for energetic and friendly volunteers to assist with our Booth at the upcoming One of a Kind Show + Sale. Being held at The Merchandise Mart from Friday, April 28-Sunday, April 30.

At our booth, we will be highlighting and selling teen-made artwork, jewelry, glasswork, etc. along with sharing information about After School Matters! Each day of the show, we will need volunteers for different shifts. Please see below:

Saturday, April 29, 2017 - 10:00am-6:00pm

  • 2:00pm-6:00pm

Sunday, April 30, 2017 - 10:00am-5:00pm

  • 10:00am-2:00pm
  • 2:00pm-5:00pm

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must feel comfortable interacting with people
  • Must be able to stand/walk during the duration of the shift
  • Must complete Volunteer Application Forms

About After School Matters: Since 1991, After School Matters innovative and engaging out-of-school time programs have impacted close to 200,000 teens from communities throughout Chicago, providing them with opportunities to explore and develop their talents, while gaining critical skills for success in work, college and beyond. Description

After School Matters provides Chicago high school teens with high quality, out-of-school time opportunities to explore and develop their talents while gaining critical skills for work, college and beyond. Over the past two decades, more than 200,000 teens have participated in our hands-on, project-based after-school and summer programs in the arts, science, sports, technology and communications. Programs take place at locations throughout the city including Chicago public high schools, Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Library locations, community-based organizations and Downtown at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts.
