The ideal candidate for this position would have experience planning events such as fundraisers, charity auctions/raffles, and other smaller social events. Skills in project management and attention to detail are key for this role, and connections within the community certainly make it an easier responsibility. This position requires a two year commitment, as well as attendance at monthly board meetings (held in SLO on the 4th Monday of each month at 6pm). This application will be reviewed by all YPNG Board Members and a vote (majority vote wins) will be held to determine who is awarded the position. All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision by the President within 24 hours of the vote.

Description
The Young Professionals Networking Group (YPNG), was formed in November of 2006 by a handful of individuals in San Luis Obispo and has grown into a dynamic county-wide organization. Comprised of talented young business professionals who live and work on the Central Coast, YPNG strives to bring together individuals to build friendships, network and support each other in becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
The group meets on a monthly basis for mixers, hikes, and professional development events to promote and support local business giving you a chance to meet and build relationships with other young professionals. Attending a YPNG event will give you the opportunity to jump outside your comfort level and introduce yourself to a whole host of young, friendly people.
