The Albany Public Library is looking to expand its Library Links program, and it needs committed, passionate volunteer couriers! Library Links helps homebound senior citizens continue to enjoy their local libraries and all of the great materials those libraries offer. Patrons call up their local branch, request their materials, and the courier delivers those materials. Each patron is matched with one courier, so it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors! Volunteers would need to commit to at least one delivery a week, but when those materials are delivered is up to you and your schedule! So, if you’re passionate about community outreach and your local public libraries, enjoying getting to know your neighbors, are empathetic and kind, and want to help grow this new service consider signing up to be part of Library Links!

Volunteers are needed for the Washington Avenue, Arbor Hill, Howe, North Albany, Pine Hills, and Delaware branches.
