Join Boy Scout Troop 4031, the Wallkill River Watershed Alliance, and Riverkeeper for a shoreline cleanup of the Wallkill River (Montgomery to Walden) on Saturday, May 6, 2017 for the 6th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River.

Volunteers will meet at Wallkill River Canoe Launch in Middletown (740 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940). Parking will be very limited. Please drop off boats and re-park at Orange Regional Medical Center. Drivers will be driven back from Thomas Bull Memorial Park to ORMC to retrieve their car at the conclusion of the cleanup. Volunteers must provide their own boat (canoe or kayak), paddle, PFD, watershoes, drybag, and bring a hat, gloves, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. If possible, please bring a net to use to gather trash from your boat. This site is not suitable for participants under 12. All youth participants must be strong swimmers and accompanied by an adult. Please note: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED to WEAR LIFE JACKETS.
