Harmony of Hearts - At AseraCare Hospice, our music therapy is known as Harmony of Hearts. These volunteers sing and/or play instrumental music (such as autoharp, guitar, violin) for our patients and their families to ease stress and anxiety, sooth hearts, and comfort one's spirit. Music serves to bring back fond memories, provide a release of emotions and fill empty hours that a patient may otherwise spend alone. These volunteers may travel in groups of two or three or may perform individually.
Be able to provide own transportation.
Complete approximately 6-8 hours of on-line training, and afterwards attend 8-hours orientation OR complete the Volunteer Training (offered on a quarterly basis) at the York office.
