Mission Statement

A passion for the arts, the environment, and our youth, is at the heart of the Tommy E. Short Charitable Foundation. The foundation's goal is to enrich lives through educational and inspirational experiences. A proactive strategy is implemented to create, collect, and develop successful concepts. Through synergistic alliances and associations the foundation strives to advance those concepts for the greater good.

Description

TESCF is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the exploration of human potential and the advancement of sustainable living, always seeking to advance children, the arts, and the environment.

We provide support and resources for future-focused organizations that promote understanding, sustainability, love, promise, and growth.

We are striving to create a new model of giving, in which we act as a key player to facilitate the success of other non-profit organizations whose missions align with the goals of the foundation.

TESCF started as the Stryker Short Foundation in the early nineties with a focus on youth, arts, and environment. IN 2001 TESCF was reorganized as a new charitable organization based in San Diego, CA. Since then the foundation has given over $5 MILLION to various groups and causes. TESCF founded the Earth Council Alliance and assisted in the formation of the Earth Charter.
